Firstly, our thoughts go out to every single person that has been affected by the Coronavirus. Here at Southern Brewing Company we are putting a huge emphasis on the procedures to stop the spread of COVID-19. On March 17th, 2020 we shut our doors to our Athens and Monroe taprooms. After being completely shut down for two full months and much deliberation from our #SoBrewCo team, we have decided to open back up to the public starting this Wednesday, May 13th. We will be open limited days and hours at both locations, so that we can continue to safely monitor local and nationwide happenings concerning the Coronavirus.
Our Athens taproom will be open Wednesday through Friday from 5-10pm, Saturdays from 2-10pm, and Sunday from 2-7pm. Strict rules and guidelines will be required by both our staff and our customers during business hours. In our Athens taproom there will be no inside seating. The inside of our taproom will be restricted to ordering and the use of our restrooms, which will be properly cleaned before, after, and throughout business hours. Customers are required to wear a mask when inside the taproom. Our staff will continue to sanitize and clean between each customer. Our bartenders are required to wear masks and employees who may shows signs of being ill, will be sent home and asked to be evaluated by a doctor. Please do not come to the taproom if you are feeling ill or showing any signs of what could be a virus. Our spacious, 15 acre backyard will be the ultimate place to continue to practice social distancing with a cold beer in hand!
Our Monroe taproom will be open Monday through Wednesday from 3-9pm, Thursday from 3-10pm, Friday from 2-10pm, Saturdays from 12-10pm and Sundays 12-8pm. We heavily encourage our customers to take advantage of the to-go pint option to reduce the number of people in our taproom. The City of Monroe, generously dropped off benches so now you can sit outside and enjoy you delicious brew! If you are feeling ill or have any symptoms of the virus, we ask that you please stay home and get tested. There will be no seating around the bar and tables will be at least 6 feet apart. Only six people are allowed to congregate per table.
We are extremely delighted to serve the people of Athens and Monroe again! We can not wait to see your faces and to pour you a cold #SoBrewCo beer. Stay safe and stay updated on the facts of the Coronavirus. See you soon!
