Why is there a hamburger hiding behind our logo? There isn’t. It’s a giant pumpkin. A long time ago our co founder Brian “Cloudy” Roth hated pumpkin beers. He discovered that a big chunk of American pumpkin beers have ZERO pumpkin in their recipe. It’s mainly pumpkin pie spiced beer. As a rebellion against this he decided to brew in a 15 gallon pumpkin. As it turns out he ended up loving this beer. Everyone that had been brewing at Gratis at the time though it was neat enough that they wanted to make it an annual tradition. This was the video that Cloudy put together to commemorate the day. Lot’s of Bumpkin brew days since then. We look forward to doing this at the brewery. Bumpkinfest 2015 should be a fun event.
