An ironic bit of fortune caused us to delete our original website. The entire thing disappeared in a single mouse click. It had been a while since we worked on updating it. Our hands were full with construction projects. This gave us the good fortune of starting from scratch. It’s kind of the way we like to do things. Our eight year project is about to get off the ground. This brewery should probably be called Willow Brewing Company. We bent and twisted and thrashed around in a torrent of missteps. We failed often early on. Luckily, like a willow, we bent and learned and grew. We feel like our roots are pretty sturdy and these delays only improved our situation.
When the river of life gets to flowing fast it can be to your advantage to kick your feet up, crack a beer and enjoy the journey. This last two years ran us through some class 5 rapids and we spilled our beer on ourselves a few times. Our friends, family, racing team and fans pulled us along. Our little freight train gathered enough momentum to finally become unstoppable. We’ve got a full head of steam and we’re looking forward to stretching our feet and firing up our boiler. It’s odd that the beginning of every journey starts with the end of others. We don’t know all the twists and turns of the journey ahead but we’ve got a good feeling that it’s a downhill run. It will be fast paced and full of excitement.
We can’t wait to laugh with each of you when you get a chance to visit. We’ll keep our taps full of cold beer and our plates will be full with collaborative projects. It’s been such a great journey. We’ve been fortunate to get to where we now are. We look forward to being a ship in Georgia’s craft beer harbor. Welcome to the front row view of the rest of our lives. It’s going to be loud. It’s going to be fun. It’s going to be for y’all. God willing and the creek don’t rise, we’ll be brewing at the end of February / beginning of March.
Hi,
My name is Jerry Jones and I work with around 27 beer & wine distributors in the Southeast with the brands I represent. Some of my distributors are always asking that I keep a lookout for what may be a good potential Craft Beer in my travels.
I will be traveling through the Athens, GA area this week and would like to see how your new brewery is coming along, and review what your plans may be about future distribution plans. If you get a chance, please give me a call.
Thank You,
Jerry Jones
